[ When Ash turns on his video in the morning to show him and his buddy Pikachu perched on his shoulder he looks... tired. It takes a sound from Pikachu in order to even realize that his journal was already on and that he had been staring blankly into the screen. With the small realization he pulls together a smile and gets down to talking. ]

Uh... Hi. I'm Ash and this is my buddy Pikachu.

[ He's calm. Perhaps a bit too calm to people who knows him when he speaks. If it isn't noticeable right then and there it will be when he started talking again because while there is some enthusiasm it's nothing like what it normally is. ]

So Friendship and Rival Day is comin' up on June 28th and I wanted t' have a party to celebrate. Some people gave me ideas like battles, movies, video games, and other kind o' things that people can do with old friends and new friends. There's gonna be a lot of food there too.

But thing is my friends Cilan and Chili can't make all the food on their own. I was wonderin' if people could make or bring food and drinks to Friendship and Rival Day. Maybe some other things like more video games or other kinds o' games t' play. Or anythin' else we might need for it.

Also, I'm wonderin' where would be th' best place for it. Someone said th' Battledome would be a good place. Is that okay or does anyone have a better place in mind. If there isn't and the Battledome isn't ok I think it could happen at th' house I'm stayin' at.

If y' have any questions or somethin' I wanna hear 'em. I'll also be 'round Luceti checkin' some things out so y' can always come talk t' me too.

[ He pushes a bigger smile and a little more enthusiasm into this last bit. ]

[ Although Ash should probably still be resting he can be found in several places around Luceti with, of course, Pikachu. Most notably he'll be checking things out at the Battledome and also going to several of the places to eat such as Seventh Heaven and the Bakery. He can also be found at the fountain resting or maybe trying to figure out what to do next and can't forget any stores that would have things for parties.

And lastly he can also be found back at House 11. Either in the Kitchen eating food, in his room doing well.. whatever probably letting his true feelings out, or just lying around the house because he knows that, as much as he would like to get back to training, doing so would probably result in certain people coming out and telling him to stop because Ash no your body and mind are not ready for this yet you shouldn't even really be out wandering Luceti all day. ]

Umm.. Cilan will be makin' desserts and sandwiches, I think. But any kind o' food is good 'cause the more food the better. But if you can tell me what y' might be making it'll help so I can make sure a lot o' people don't all bring the same thing.

The Battledome is good since it has a lot of space and you can program the rooms to be whatever you need. Another place could be the rec center. There are already games and movies there, though you don't get as much space.

Also if you'd like, I can make a note of this day on the calendar in the Welcome Center.

i've never been to the Rec Center before. is there a place where you can put a lot o' food? i think the battledome is big enough but it doesn't have the movies or games already there.

Yea! It's a day I came up with while talkin' to a friend a while back. Since there's that day for couples why not for friends and rivals?

That sounds like a great idea, Ash! [He knows Ash was on the draft, so Aang's been concerned for the younger boy.] I dunno about rivalry, but friendship should definitely get its own day! The Battle Dome could be a nice place to have it if you wanna make a hologram room. Or... it's warm out, so it could always just be outside!

[ Putting on the best smile he can manage for you too. ] I was gonna make two separate days for rivals and for friends but since a lot o' my rivals are also my friends why not just make it one special day for them both? Is there a way t' be able t' play video games and watch movies outside? Maybe some things can be inside and other things can be outside.

Maybe I can bring my roommate along! He could always use a little more of a push to make friends. [But not too much of one.]

Of course everyone is invited t' the party. [ What kind of Friendship and Rival party would this be if people weren't allowed to come? ] What kind o' food are you thinkin' on making?

Yea bring you're friend along. Not only should just old friends come but people should come and make new friends too.

[Luckily, Cilan has not forgotten Ash's idea about a day for celebrating friendships and rivalry, so--] We'll do our best to make sure that the food for it is in good taste. [A slight pause] And if there's anything else we can do for you Ash, please let us know as well.

[Even if it's just cooking something right now or later for him or just talking, Cilan is willing to help in any way possible, especially after all that stuff that happened on the draft. After their talk they did pretty okay, up until they accidentally got separated for a scary moment there, and for that he does feel a little guilty, even if that wasn't entirely his fault. (Still, after a speech about not separating and having it happen anyway...)]

I know I can count on you Cilan. Your food is some of the best. [ Which is very likely why it's been his go-to food even more so than usual since they've returned from the draft. ] And I'll let y' know if there is anything. Umm.. maybe y' can help me get some other things for it like decorations.

[ He's aware that he's avoiding what's been bothering him but he doesn't know how to put it into words. So he opts for the easier things instead. ]

Friendship and rival day? Just what in the world is that?

[ All of these holidays are so strange... Really, she doesn't understand them, or why anyone but the aristocracy bothers to celebrate them. Just who has the time or energy for all of this? ]

It's just a day that y' spend with your friends and rivals and just hang out. Y' can give them gifts like that other day too if y' wanted to.

[ Ash does. Or well normally does. And this one was created because he didn't understand Valentines Day. ]

[Sokka has no idea what half of the proposed activities for Friendship or Rival Day even are. Video games... movies... what? He doesn't even know why he would ever want to spend time with his rivals; he'd rather forget all about Azula at this point. Ty Lee wouldn't be bad, but that's not important. The most important thing is that there's food involved. It says it RIGHT THERE. "A lot of food." SOLD.]

That sounds like the best type of party! Can I come?

And, uh, Ash, is that a firefly-mouse on your shoulder?

[ Because what would be a Friendship and Rival Party if people aren't allowed to come that's weird.... ]

Huh? No, this is Pikachu. [ Didn't he say that already?? ] He's a Pokemon.

[ Though he is a Mouse Pokemon so... kind of right there Sokka?? ]

[ It's Red's Pikachu that approaches over to them before Red gets the chance to, spotting the other pokémon as well as that familiar face. He squeaks happily and loudly, hopping up onto the fountain edge by the time Red's got an idea to call out. ]

Ash!

[ yo dude haven't seen you in forever what's up. ]

[ Pikachu perks his ears when he hears the other Pikachu and greets him as cheerfully as he can manage. Ash looks over at the two Pikachus before hearing his name and looking over to see Red. ]

Red! Hey!

[ The sky Just y'know hanging around the village and doing things. ]

[MOST of that goes completely past Saori. Because she's much more focused on the boy and everything that'd transpired between her and Red. Ash hadn't quite seemed as mature as the other boy, but he was still young and he'd still seen things he shouldn't...and that makes her heart go out to him.

Also, he's kind of adorable in a dumb sort of way.

So, she puts in a cheerful face and replies:]

Hello, Ash. How's your foot? Is it healing well?

[ Adorable in a dumb way is the best way to describe Ash.

And speaking of him he'll put on the best smile he can manage because it's the least he can do in return for the cheerful face she has. ]

Hey Saori. Yes, it's a lot better now. I don't have that much trouble walkin' on it anymore.

I think there's a couple of places you could throw it. Battledome's easy, but there's the rec center, the beach... I guess it depends on what works best. If you're gonna be showing movies, maybe something indoors would be better.

Well... we have a lotta people makin' and bringin' dessert. We don't have a lotta people bringin' other stuff though. I think we could use some other kinds o' snacks and drinks too.

I haven't been told 'bout the beach, but if there's gonna be video game and movies I want it t' be both outside and inside. So which one from the battledome or rec center would be best?

It's not for another few weeks so I think there's 'nough time. We have a lot of desserts that are gonna be made but we could always use more of anythin' else like sandwiches, meat, salad. All kinds o' things.

[In the bakery Ash will find Wan, pointing dramatically at a rack of muffins. Let's just say the past few days of shift induced nightmares have not been kind to him and he's more than a little out of it from sleep deprivation.]
