[ When Ash turns on his video in the morning to show him and his buddy Pikachu perched on his shoulder he looks... tired. It takes a sound from Pikachu in order to even realize that his journal was already on and that he had been staring blankly into the screen. With the small realization he pulls together a smile and gets down to talking. ]

Uh... Hi. I'm Ash and this is my buddy Pikachu.

[ He's calm. Perhaps a bit too calm to people who knows him when he speaks. If it isn't noticeable right then and there it will be when he started talking again because while there is some enthusiasm it's nothing like what it normally is. ]

So Friendship and Rival Day is comin' up on June 28th and I wanted t' have a party to celebrate. Some people gave me ideas like battles, movies, video games, and other kind o' things that people can do with old friends and new friends. There's gonna be a lot of food there too.

But thing is my friends Cilan and Chili can't make all the food on their own. I was wonderin' if people could make or bring food and drinks to Friendship and Rival Day. Maybe some other things like more video games or other kinds o' games t' play. Or anythin' else we might need for it.

Also, I'm wonderin' where would be th' best place for it. Someone said th' Battledome would be a good place. Is that okay or does anyone have a better place in mind. If there isn't and the Battledome isn't ok I think it could happen at th' house I'm stayin' at.

If y' have any questions or somethin' I wanna hear 'em. I'll also be 'round Luceti checkin' some things out so y' can always come talk t' me too.

[ He pushes a bigger smile and a little more enthusiasm into this last bit. ]

[ Although Ash should probably still be resting he can be found in several places around Luceti with, of course, Pikachu. Most notably he'll be checking things out at the Battledome and also going to several of the places to eat such as Seventh Heaven and the Bakery. He can also be found at the fountain resting or maybe trying to figure out what to do next and can't forget any stores that would have things for parties.

And lastly he can also be found back at House 11. Either in the Kitchen eating food, in his room doing well.. whatever probably letting his true feelings out, or just lying around the house because he knows that, as much as he would like to get back to training, doing so would probably result in certain people coming out and telling him to stop because Ash no your body and mind are not ready for this yet you shouldn't even really be out wandering Luceti all day. ]

[ Y e p. There's no changing them. ]

My Pokemon are doin' a lot better! They've all almost fully recovered.

[ It's obvious where his priorities lie. ]

Wonderful! That's good to know.

[She taps her chin, thoughtful for a moment. She can see fairly plainly that he's bouncing back well enough, and probably doesn't fully understand what happened the day they arrived. And...the bomb...(which draws a shudder). And that, in and of itself, is a hard thing for her to think about. Which bothers her. And makes her want to do something for them, to at least give things the semblance of normalcy. Ash gets special thought on this because Red asked her to look after him.]

Ash, is there anything special you and your friends would like to eat? I've been doing a lot of extra cooking lately, and I'd like to do something nice for you. For being so brave.

[ Ash understands what happened back then a bit more than what's led on. He just doesn't know how to express what he felt, although he knows he should because he doesn't like to be dishonest, so in turn he tries to be honest about this he can focus and express instead.

But, given everything, he is bouncing back fairly well if not purely because he has friends and Pokemon to back him up. If they were here he wouldn't be nearly as well off. ]

Umm... my friend Cilan has been cookin' a lot lately but I don't wanna stop you from makin' anything if you want to. 've been kinda in the mood for Croquettes.

[ He's probably eaten a bunch of them already but they're his favorite so close enough to a comfort food we will probably get. ]

Croquettes? [She nods in affirmation. Oh she can make tons of those. And is grateful too, for the chance to make something nice for someone else. She takes being forced to use her powers for military purposes hard. Storms aren't meant to take sides, and it feels like breaking a covenant, so...she gets it out of her system by being little miss helpful.] Any particular filling you like?

[She's fond of them herself, curry stuffed ones or ones filled with egg. But then she puts eggs into everything ever.]

Umm... it doesn't matter what kinda filling they have. I've never had one that I didn't like!

[ So go ahead and put as many eggs as you want in them Saori he'll still eat them to his heart's content. ]

[But then you'd have omelettes and not croquettes...]

Alright. Well I have curry leftover from dinner, so I can use that.

[Already starting to move around in the kitchen and such.]

Where is it you live? I'll have a servant deliver them when they're finished.

[ Sad but true. ]

Curry sounds good. I live in th' house next t' the Flame Building with some of my other friends.

Alright. I can definitely deliver there.

[Though she'll do it in person.]

Expect something in maybe...an hour?

Okay. I look forward t' it!

[ He'll just linger near the entrance or something. ]

[An hour later, there's a scratching around the bottom of the door.]

[ And once Pikachu hears it and informs Ash he'll go over to the door and open it. ]

Huh? Oh!

[ He looks down and oh hello there! ]

[Definitely a dog. With a basket in it's mouth, wagging it's tail.

Hi there!]

[ And once he sees the basket he puts two and put together. ]

Oh, you must be deliverin' for Saori! D' you wanna come inside?

[The dog wags it's curly little tail and nods, starting forward.]

[ Ash leaves enough room so the dog can come in and closes the front door once inside. ]

Let's go to th' kitchen. It's over there.

[She nods and pads inside, heading into the kitchen and depositing the basket before sitting there, looking at Ash with a doggy grin.]

[ Ash smiles lightly back as he kneels down. ]

They smell good! [ He'll take two out, handing one to Pikachu to eat. Then he looks back at the dog. ] Y' can have one too if y' want.

[Her tongue lolls and she shakes her head in a negative. She doesn't need anymore food.

But she does pad over and nuzzle his leg a bit with her nose. Ear scratches would be nice, please.]

[ It doesn't take Ash long at all to get the hint. He puts the Croquette that he took out to himself down and starts scratching her ear. ]

Is that what you want?

[Oh if only he knew he was scratching Saori's ear...because her tail keeps wagging and she starts licking at his face. Why? Because she likes being scratched when she's like this.]

[ Yeah this would probably be different if he knew it was Saori! But since he doesn't he is still caught by surprise when she started licking his face. However, he just laughs a little before scratching her ears a bit more. ]

You really like this don't you?

Wuff!

[She barks and keeps licking.]

Wuff! Wuff!

H-Hey, that tickles!

[ Though despite his words he's laughing because well it tickles. ]

[Her tail continues to wag though, and with another wuff, she starts snuffling excitedly around the floor. Dog habits are odd, and the instincts are hard to get used to.]

[ Ash watches her for a little bit with a small smile. ]

You're kinda like a Growlithe. Or maybe a Houndour? or a Lillipup!

[ Yes mention all the dog Pokemon there Ash. ]
