[ Video ]

[ When Ash turns on his video in the morning to show him and his buddy Pikachu perched on his shoulder he looks... tired. It takes a sound from Pikachu in order to even realize that his journal was already on and that he had been staring blankly into the screen. With the small realization he pulls together a smile and gets down to talking. ]

Uh... Hi. I'm Ash and this is my buddy Pikachu.

[ He's calm. Perhaps a bit too calm to people who knows him when he speaks. If it isn't noticeable right then and there it will be when he started talking again because while there is some enthusiasm it's nothing like what it normally is. ]

So Friendship and Rival Day is comin' up on June 28th and I wanted t' have a party to celebrate. Some people gave me ideas like battles, movies, video games, and other kind o' things that people can do with old friends and new friends. There's gonna be a lot of food there too.

But thing is my friends Cilan and Chili can't make all the food on their own. I was wonderin' if people could make or bring food and drinks to Friendship and Rival Day. Maybe some other things like more video games or other kinds o' games t' play. Or anythin' else we might need for it.

Also, I'm wonderin' where would be th' best place for it. Someone said th' Battledome would be a good place. Is that okay or does anyone have a better place in mind. If there isn't and the Battledome isn't ok I think it could happen at th' house I'm stayin' at.

If y' have any questions or somethin' I wanna hear 'em. I'll also be 'round Luceti checkin' some things out so y' can always come talk t' me too.

[ He pushes a bigger smile and a little more enthusiasm into this last bit. ]

Let's make this a great first Friendship and Rival Day! I look forward to it!

[ Action ]

[ Although Ash should probably still be resting he can be found in several places around Luceti with, of course, Pikachu. Most notably he'll be checking things out at the Battledome and also going to several of the places to eat such as Seventh Heaven and the Bakery. He can also be found at the fountain resting or maybe trying to figure out what to do next and can't forget any stores that would have things for parties.

And lastly he can also be found back at House 11. Either in the Kitchen eating food, in his room doing well.. whatever probably letting his true feelings out, or just lying around the house because he knows that, as much as he would like to get back to training, doing so would probably result in certain people coming out and telling him to stop because Ash no your body and mind are not ready for this yet you shouldn't even really be out wandering Luceti all day. ]

Sure, that sounds fine. I don't mind helping you carry anything you find. [Heck there's a BW ending theme that shows him carrying people's shopping for them, so he's totally used to being the honorary pack mule for that sort of thing, right.]

Where would you like for us to meet you at?

Thanks Cilan. [ Yes totally. And let's not even begin to question how he manages to carry around tables and silverware for meals. ]

Ummm ... if you're still in the house we can meet in th' kitchen. Or we can meet at th' fountain.

Oh, I'm still here at the house. I can meet you down in the kitchen in just a moment.

[One of the rare times that Cilan wasn't in the kitchen this past week--he had been elsewhere in his own room, probably reading or something since he has spoken to some of the other house residents who have hinted that living in the kitchen is not a good idea and that he should rest or something. But for Ash...well, he's willing to overlook that a little.]

'K. We'll be in the kitchen waitin' for you.

[ We will overlook it as long as we overlook the fact that Ash should still be resting a little. He's been in and out of the room and kitchen a lot which was still probably more walking and moving around then he should be after only a few days. ]

Alright. [Cilan probably has said something to Ash about how he should rest, but he's not particularly enforcing it yet. At least, not until Ash starts showing any signs of being in pain or something. That said, after a minute or two Ash should likely hear Cilan's footsteps coming towards the kitchen, and when he appears in the doorway, he seems cheerful enough. There's still some cuts and bruises and things that had to be bandaged up after the draft, including a pretty thick one wrapped around one of his hands, but thankfully he's not injured to the point of being unable to move.]

Hey Ash! I hope I didn't keep you waiting for too long. [Probably not, Cilan is nothing if not punctual most of the time.] Are you ready to go?

[ Ash has done his best not to show any pain when he's out of his room so not to sorry Cilan or the others. He waited for Cilan by eating an apple and once his friend was at the doorway the apple was given to Pikachu to finish eating. He still has some cuts and bruises himself but the most prominent one from what can be seen is the bandages around one of his upper arms. Which is, of course, the injury that had the misfortune of going through several painful experiences. ]

Hey Cilan! We weren't waitin' long at all. [ Trying to be a cheerful as he can manage ] Yep, let's get goin'.

[And every time he notices the bandage around Ash's upper arm, Cilan can't help but frown a little. Even if it's not his fault, he can't help but feel a twinge of guilt for not having done a better job of making sure that Ash wasn't injured after...well, after the you know what. He's likely already asked what happened, but it was probably a very short conversation because let's be real nobody likes talking about anything that happened on that draft, so he didn't push too hard about it yet. But hm...maybe he should inspect those bandages to make sure that they were properly wrapped and such, but that'll have to wait for now.

Nonetheless, he's quick to smile again, dialing up the usual Cilan dramatics once more.]

Yeah! It's shopping time~! [...Nevermind the fact there is no currency here, we can still totally shop for stuff in Luceti.] Surely there must be decorations we can use here in Luceti, and they'll be ones that will have a fitting taste for celebrating the colorful and profound nature of friendships and rivalries!

[ Said very short conversation was probably along the lines of 'It kept getting hurt' and leaving it at that until a later time because explanations can come later when they're ready. Until then Ash tries not to think too much of it and tries not to feel guilty when he notices Cilan's bandaged hand. He's fairly sure that Cilan is going a good job with taking care of it, at least.

Ash doesn't even see the falter in Cilan's smile as he was too busy watching Pikachu climb up his other arm and perching himself on Ash's shoulder. ]

There gotta be! We just havta find 'em! [ He'll start walking so they can leave the house and get on their way. ] Where should we start lookin'? There should be a store that would have decorations right?

[Cilan, naturally, will be following right alongside Ash once they exit the house.] Hm...many of the stores here are related to clothing or food, but I am sure that we will be able to find something we can use from either one of the other establishments around here, like the convenience store or item shop, for example. [The convenience store is the closest to the house, so they'll likely end up hitting that place first. Maybe if he's lucky, Masaomi won't be working today...]

And, if not, we could always make some of our own decorations too with some of the items they have here!

Okay. Let's try one of them first and see what we can find. [ And onward towards the direction of the convenience store since that one is closer. ]

If we can we should make some of our own decorations anyways! Or at least somethin' like a banner.

Hm, alright! Then we'll be able to add our own creative flavor to the decorations as well!

[Let's see, is there anything else we need to make sure to do...] So there's the decorations, and I'll be cooking a few things for it, and...oh, I'll have to remember to spend some time training with my Pokemon as well--I believe I promised you a Pokemon battle for the occasion, right? [As the...ah, "rival" part of "Friendship and Rivals Day" celebration? ^^;;]

We'll add all kinds o' stuff to them! [ But of course without being too overbearing that wouldn't be good right? ]

... That's right. We're gonna give it our all so I need t' spend some time trainin' my Pokemon too. [ Ash does have one thing up his sleeve and that's Charizard since apparently Cilan hasn't seen him battle, but it doesn't mean that he shouldn't go unprepared. ]

I'm sure that you and your Pokemon will be trained quite well...yes, the anticipation is far too much! [Cilan clasps his hands together.]

It's been far too long since I last had a chance to have a Pokemon battle with you like this, so I'm really looking forward to this taste!

Of course! And so will your Pokemon! It has been a long time and we've both gotten stronger since then. I can't wait t' see what happens when we both give it our all!

I can't wait either! It'll be a wonderful, exciting clash for all of Luceti to see! [Well, for all of who actually shows up to their shindig, anyway.] Plus, I'm sure we could both use something like this to help us get back on our feet after--[err]--recent events, and it'll be a great way to relax and have fun!

[Because, you know, who needs to talk about feelings and draft-related junk and acknowledging problems when you could have Pokemon battles instead--oh hey, there's the convenience store up ahead!]

Yeah it'll be great! ... Yeah. I think we all could use something like this to get back on our feet. I mean, not just us but our Pokemon and everyone else too. So I hope everyone comes to relax and have some fun.

[ He doesn't say anymore because oh hey convenience store! ]

I see it! C'mon! Let's hurry and go inside!

[ And off he goes to the entrance! ]
